This 19 acre carp lake is home to an incredible stock of big carp that will have you coming back for more. The fish range from true leather carp to perfect linear carp and everything in between and most of them are big fish.

The lake is home to over 400 carp with so many 40lb + carp we’ve stopped counting!  Some of the bigger fish are now well over the 50lb mark and most weeks in 2012 produced 50′s. 2013 is likely to see the lake produce it’s first 60lb+ carp and we expect virtually all of our visitors to catch carp above 40lb! 

In its first few seasons the lake regularly gave the impression of being a runs water but after 4 seasons of angling the fish are naturally more cautious. These days the crazy action has been replaced with a chance of multiple 40lb+ carp during a session and a wonderful ambience on the lake with a constant buzz due to so many potential surprises with big fish going missing for longer periods. In 2012 there was a feeling of anything could happen next and it quite often did and the excitement will be even higher in 2013 with so many fish now starting to reach big weights.

Etang Angele in 2013 now presents a good challenge for anglers willing to put in the effort with some absolutely majestic carp to be caught. An average weeks fishing in 2012 has been around 7-15 bites per angler with a typical catch consisting of  mostly 30′s and 40′s.

There are several carp lurking in the lake that are always likely to become the new lake record as they continue to grow at an impressive rate and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the lake record reach 60lb+ very soon . ( 57lb October 2012 )

The lake now holds Ghost carp above 40lb, perfect Linear carp above 40lb, Common carp above 45lb, Grass carp above 50lb, Mirror carp above 55lb and there are plenty of surprises in store with several of the biggest fish avoiding capture in 2012!

The mirrors are still jostling for a pecking order with the biggest ones now well over 50lb.

The lake also holds some big grass carp between 35lb and 50lb along with tench, pike, perch and roach.

The lake bed is a mix of sand silt and stone, there are a few weed beds during the summer. There are several sunken islands plus lots of overhanging trees around the lake, every swim is capable of producing a result.

This lake is well worth looking at for groups. It produces some very nice 40′s every week and usually everyone goes away with some great memories. Many anglers that book to fish Angele in 2013 will experience some of the Best carp fishing holidays in France!

ANGELE can be booked individually or exclusively for a group. Toilets and showers, including the Clubhouse are situated between lake ANGELE  and Lake LOUANE.  ANGELE has Vehicle access to all swims
